Prakruthi – Artistic Director

Prakruthi is a Kathak dancer and Bharatanatyam artist. She is extensively trained under Souvik Chakraborthy.  Her dance journey began under the tutelage of the renowned Guru Pali Chandra and later flourished under the guidance of Sri Souvik Chakraborthy. With the blessings of her Guru, she brings the rich teachings of Pt. Birju Maharaj and the technical expertise essential to mastering both Kathak and Bharatanatyam.

In addition to her dance training, Prakruthi is a passionate yoga enthusiast. She has studied under the esteemed BKS Iyengar, whose teachings have greatly influenced her approach to dance. Her deep understanding of yoga has not only enhanced her physical strength and flexibility but has also deepened her artistic expression in both dance forms.

As the Artistic Director of Nritya Bhoomi, Prakruthi is committed to sharing the joy of dance with her students. She believes in nurturing creativity, discipline, and a deep appreciation for the art of Kathak.
